Dear Members,
As we release our 5th edition of the monthly newsletter, I want to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve undertaken together over these past few years.
The Canadian Tamils’ Chamber of Commerce has always been about community, collaboration, and commerce. It’s been about creating opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship, and empowering our members. I am thrilled to have been part of a dedicated team that has strived to achieve these goals with unwavering commitment.

Tamil Radiothon for SHN Foundation
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support during last month’s Tamil Radiothon fundraiser. The day’s success wouldn’t have been possible without you. A big thank you to the dedicated hospital staff and volunteers, the East FM Radio team, and our CTCC community, whose enthusiasm and generosity made a significant impact.
We’ve raised over $160,000, and the journey continues to reach our $200,000 goal this year.
Special thanks to our donors for their vital contributions. This sense of community and unity is remarkable, and we’re excited to keep supporting our Scarborough Hospitals and making a positive impact on our community together. Thank you for your dedication, commitment, and generosity.
Public Speaking Seminar
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your participation in our recent seminar on October 4th. It was a resounding success, and your enthusiasm was inspiring. Mohan Gunarajah’s insights on public speaking and Janaki Perairavan’s motivational message left lasting impressions on all attendees.
Due to its overwhelming success, we plan to host more Toastmaster-style seminars in the new year to foster personal growth and strengthen our community.

Computek College Graduation Ceremony
On September 28, 2023, Our Diamond Sponsor Computek College marked a momentous occasion with its hosting of the September 2023 Graduation Ceremony. The ceremony witnessed the emergence of graduates from 12 distinct programs who took center stage, encircled by their families, friends, esteemed faculty members, and the embracing community.
The graduates’ unwavering commitment, resilience, and determination evoked profound admiration from all in attendance. This graduation ceremony signifies the culmination of their Computek College journey and the commencement of a promising future. Computek College pledges wholehearted support and extends best wishes to these remarkable individuals.
