The CTCC was founded in 1991 to develop and
foster entrepreneurship within the Tamil Community in Canada. The CTCC has continued to grow and be a critical organization within the Tamil Community but does not yet have a space of its own. This has limited the CTCC to fully satisfy its mission. It has been identified that the CTCC has limited space and funds. The CTCC is currently required to rent external space to hold events, meetings,or discussions with its own members. Each time the CTCC plans on focusing on growth, its limitations hold it back. We believe that with the building/office space, the CTCC can hold many more events, larger meetings, workshops, seminars, rent the space when not in use and provide other value-added services.Over the long term, this will become a very valuable asset for the CTCC.Not only in terms of allowing for the CTCC to achieve its mission but also economically.Economically, real estate is an appreciating asset class and will only grow in value over time.
After 28 years, it is our recommendation that for the CTCC to grow and fully meet its potential and satisfy its mission, it should have a space of its own. The Building Committee was initially formed to advise the General Membership whether it is necessary for the CTCC to have its own building/office space.
