Current unprecedented COVID 19 global situation has put many of us concerned and many organizations are struggling to continue their businesses and we are not exempt.
After 28 years, with all your support and guidance, we wanted to have our own office space and buy a property this year. Fortunately, we found a perfect property for us within our budget and we have entered into a firm agreement to purchase this property with the completion date of June 5th, 2020. Unfortunately, surrounding the COVID 19 pandemic, we are in negotiation to postpone the closing date by a few months. We will keep you posted on the progress.
With your big heart, many of you have pledged with big donations to the building project, and we were about to start collecting the money. Regrettably, we understand that this is not the right time to ask for donations from you as most of us are in lockdown. Therefore, we are negotiating with the sellers to extend the closing, until we have a better situation in the country. Once the situation improves, we must be able to close the deal, to do that, we need your continued support and we thank you for your willingness to contribute and to be part of the Chamber's history.
We are also postponing the 2nd Quarterly Meeting and Annual Awards Gala this year, following the increased and overwhelming concerns of COVID 19, CTCC believes this is the right decision based on the information we have today. We thank all the sponsors who have committed to support this year. We will keep in touch and hope for the best to happen soon for everyone.
