Looking ahead, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for October 26th. I urge you to get involved and participate, as this is your chance to help shape the future of our organization. Nominations are open now!
As we continue our commitment to philanthropy, I’m excited to remind everyone about our annual Radiothon for the Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation on September 25th. Your support is vital as we give back to the community.
Together, we are stronger, and I look forward to the exciting months ahead as we continue to grow and thrive as a community.

On September 25, 2024, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation and the Canadian Tamils’ Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Tamil Radiothon. This important event will unite our community for a day of education and awareness for SHN’s exceptional care while raising significant funds to directly impact our three Scarborough hospitals — Centenary, General and Birchmount — and the local patients and families who rely on them.
The Tamil Radiothon, will be live-to-air on EAST FM 102.7 and will feature interviews with patients, staff and physicians, community leaders, partners, and volunteers to inspire the community to help shape the future of healthcare in Scarborough through their donations.
The Love, Scarborough campaign is raising awareness and donations to upgrade and innovate our hospitals, and the Tamil Radiothon is part of this historic movement.
Our goal for the 2024 Tamil Radiothon is $200,000, which will directly support the Love, Scarborough campaign and help SHN purchase urgently needed medical equipment.
You can show your love and help us get one step closer to achieving our goal by becoming a sponsor today!
SHN does more than anyone thought possible, with less than anyone could imagine. Together, let’s imagine what we could do with more.
