I hope this message finds you well as we welcome the arrival of spring and a season of renewed energy and opportunities.
We kicked off this month with an incredible International Women’s Day Celebration on March 8th, where we welcomed over 300 participants! It was truly inspiring to see so many new faces, share meaningful discussions, and celebrate the achievements of women in our community. Your enthusiasm and engagement reaffirm that CTCC is on the right track, and I sincerely thank you all for your continued support.
As we look ahead, we are gearing up for our Annual Awards Gala on April 12th at the Hilton Markham—our most prestigious event of the year! This evening is dedicated to recognizing outstanding individuals and businesses within our community. The Awards Selection Committee and our Board have been working tirelessly to ensure a fair and thorough selection process. We can’t wait to celebrate the success stories that shape our business and professional landscape.
I encourage you all to attend and be part of this memorable night. It’s not only an evening of recognition but also a fantastic opportunity to network, connect, and support the spirit of entrepreneurship and excellence within our community.

March is Fraud Prevention Month, and we are excited to invite you to an informative Fraud Prevention & Awareness Seminar hosted by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). Women’s Day Celebration 2025
The Canadian Tamils’ Chamber of Commerce hosted a spectacular International Women’s Day Celebration at the Scarborough Convention Centre, bringing together over 300 attendees to honour, empower, and uplift women in our community.
From inspiring speeches by Dr. Pushpa Kanagaratnam, Ari A. Ariaran, Dilani Gunarajah and Poorany Sornabala, to an engaging panel discussion featuring Dr. Kanna Vela, Tia Bhuva, Janany Jayathikumar, and Christeen Seevaratnam and moderated by Jasica Mahalingam, the evening was filled with knowledge, empowerment, and celebration.
Performances by: Irudaya Dance Co. “Pinga” Dance by Kashmia, Kuberaka & Saruhaa NXT Sister Duo – Neshah & Thusha and Kishori Rajkumar.
